The names of the forms of tax in the budget have difference meanings in different countries. For example, acquisition tax in America, which has something to do with government contractors, has a different meaning in the EU, where it's something to do with the movement of goods across national borders.

To clarify, would it be possible to get brief explanation of what the different taxes tax? The ingame help is a little bit too vague.

While we're here, I'd like to get some tips going too. I prefer to tax heavily what I believe to be the fairest tax and least likely to have a negative effect on my economy.

But it makes sense that lots of low taxes on heaps of different things for the most ridiculous of reasons would, though unethical, be less harmful to the economy. What do you think?

Meine Null-Verteidigungsbudget ist wohl nicht zu erklären, gegenüber den durchschnittlichen Werten? Nein, bei Null wird die Erhöhung um 5% auch mathematisch nichts bringen-(0+5%= 0) D.h. bleibt ewig bei Null!

I'm really confused by the "Acquisition Tax" (probably spelled wrong by me) and the affects of "Nominal Interest". "Volume of Cash" confuses me too.

Find ich auch gut - aber mir ist noch aufgefallen, daß ich, wenn ich nicht eingeloggt bin - bei beiden Spalten der Detailansicht von VIP-Staaten irgendwie ganz überwiegend gleiche Zahlenangaben sehe. Unterschiedlich scheinen nur die paar Werte zu sein, die man sonst bei Basic-Staaten sehen kann.
Eingeloggt ist das nicht so.
Also überhaupt kein Drama, könnte aber auf einen aufmerksamen Besucher der sich mal so durchklickt und den Vergleich sieht der gar keiner ist, sagen wir mal - komisch wirken... (-> Screenshot)
