No, I've never heard of it before. In that ep the German backpackers are referred to as German Backpackers....what actual part of it did you hear that phrase?

It's difficult to reach native-level fluency in English. So many sayings, double meanings, slang, regional differences, and that's just American English. British English can be hard for me to understand sometimes!
High German seems to be easier to reach native fluency, but hard to get started with. Well, I've had a hard time with it over the past few years. At least people say my pronunciation is perfect!
