Hmpf. I recently realized, that Ars Regendi does not sound really well in English, because it sounds familar to the english word "arse" That's quite annoying, as I talked a lot to a native English speaker about the name before registering the domain - but he obviously did not realise that too.

Well, I think, for the English version we need another name. Do you have any suggestions?

The term "governance or ruling" seems to apply more suitable than "reign"?

But the bottomline is, that "the term" should be rather "convenient" or "tuneful pleasent" as "linguistic correct"

So, all native speaker are "invited" to add their two cents!

Alternative designations are also welcome!

Sounds great and is very close to the latin name. Only drawback would be "regnancy" being very close to "pregnancy", as leo.org points out.

My favourite dictionary (dict.cc) says regency instead preg... hm regnancy but it sounds best

A commonly used term (in England). But I believe that it may have German roots? Unfortunately, I don't speak German so I wouldn't know.

I had assume the word Realpolitik "is" german!
Realpolitik sounds to me rather "shirtsleeve" and to much directly.
Which objections would you have against "Art of.......", whatever, art of regency or art of reign or something in the same line? (ok, art of regnancy reminds the people to some fortunate circumstances.

I realy like the Latin name.
You could avoid the arse-like sound by using the plural "artes" instead of "ars".
But don't ask me about the correct grammer, when changing into plural.
I have my Latinum, but I didn't deserve it.

Hmm, really? I've always pronounced "ars" "arz" in my head, whilst "arse" is "ars", with a "normal" s. Must be a British English thing
